Just a quick update for our members with regards the government's roadmap update this week...

The committee have made a decision to open the club to our members on Monday 17th May 2021, which is in line with step 3 of the policy, unless there are any further changes to the policy which would dictate otherwise.

The committee did consider opening at step 2 in April which relates to outdoor opening, but having done so we considered this option not to be practicable.

We will continue to monitor the government's updates and will provide a full update with regards opening conditions and what it means to us etc nearer the time.

New members will be welcome.

In the meantime keep safe and well and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future.

Regards

The Committee

16th January 2021

Hope everyone is keeping safe and well..

In recent weeks we've had a number of members asking about the annual subs for 2021,which would normally be due at this time of year and how to pay...

We will start to collect the subs once we re open so there's no need to look at alternative ways to get the money to us.

In light of the last 12 months and in recognition of the fact that we were only open for a short period of time, the Committee have decided that the below fees will apply for 2021 for those members who paid their subs in 2020..

Members....£5 (usually £8)

Honary Members....£2 (usually £4)

Existing members who did not pay their subs for 2020 or who have allowed their memberships to lapse in recent years will need to pay the usual fees of £8 & £4 respectively.

New members will be more than welcome at the usual cost of £10 for the first year and then £8 thereafter..

For the bowler's the annual bowling fees will again be £35 for the season.

However, for those who paid their subs for 2020 the Committee have made a decision not to charge a fee for 2021 and we will carry last years fees over..this is again in recognition of the fact that no bowling took place last year.

However in fairness, those who did not pay their subs for 2020 will be required to pay the £35 for this year..

In the meantime keep safe...

Sunday 2nd August 2020

Due to the latest government announcement with regards the Greater Manchester area and the new guidelines we have had to cancel the acts for the 1st & 8th August respectively.

We will hopefully have clarification with regards the 15th & 22nd in due course.

we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Wednesday 1st July 2020

Apologies in advance for the lengthy post but we have a few things to add before the club opens its doors again this Saturday,4th July..

As stated previously, the club will be open on Saturday between 12 noon and 11.30pm.

Thereafter, we will follow our usual opening and closing times, we will however monitor these hours and review them accordingly..

We have worked hard over the last few months to smarten up and improve the outside areas and to put in place all the necessary requirements to enable us to open whilst ensuring that we can safely meet government guidelines to protect us all, members and staff alike.
You will notice some differences but hopefully this will not reduce your enjoyment as we try to return to some form of normality.

In these challenging times we are looking to our members to follow these new procedures, it's in everyone's interest to do so. They have been designed with everyone's safety in mind and this will hopefully reduce the risk of the premises having to close again.

Below is a brief summary of what we have put in place...

Members only will be allowed in the club ( this may be reviewed over time)...

New members are welcome but will need to register as a new member on attending and pay the £10 membership fee...

Existing members who have not renewed will need to do so on their first visit...

Members will need to complete the test and trace book (held behind the bar) with name & contact number (this is a government requirement)...

Sanitising products will be positioned around the club including at the entrance, they are there for members to use...

We have a management system in place for the bar area & toilets..please follow the guidance..no more than 2 persons to use the toilets at any one time...

No standing or sitting at the bar at anytime

Seats and tables have been positioned with social distancing in mind

We have created more seating areas outside..

Members & families with children must remain outside and use the seating areas provided...

We have identified a new smoking area which the members will hopefully use...

As stated in a previous post the committee have made the decision to put a small increase on the price of drinks, this is intended to be a short term measure and will ensure that the club remains open for it's members over this difficult period..

Please continue to follow the latest government advice around social distancing, staying alert and washing of hands etc and please do not attend the club if you believe that you have any of the symptoms associated with coronavirus...

This is new to everyone, including our staff. We will continue to review the measures that we have put in place and make any necessary adjustments if required, all we ask is that you are respectful and courteous to our staff at all times..

We look forward to seeing you all again this weekend.

The Committee

Sunday 28th June 2020

Good news...

As with other similiar establishments the club will be re opening on Saturday 4th July 2020 from 12.00.

To keep in line with government guidance and advice a number of measures will be implemented to keep our staff, members and visitors safe and well.

A further, more detailed announcement will be provided in the next few days.

Wednesday 10th June 2020

Hope everyone is keeping well..

We continue to monitor government updates and briefings as well as other media publications in anticipation of when we will be allowed to open again, whilst there is an indication that some areas of hospitality may be allowed to re open no sooner than the 4th July we await to see what forms of hospitality this will include, fingers crossed that it will include establishments like ours...

In the meantime and in preparation for that day we have kept busy in and around the club, including..

Carpets and back rests have been cleaned and sanitised..

In anticipation that certain conditions will be imposed prior to opening we have looked at the layout inside the club and arranged furniture accordingly,we will revisit this once we know more...

Outside,we have carried out various maintenance work including painting, including the outside benches, weeding and the relaying of paving flags on one of the patio areas.

We are also in the process of erecting a new set of steps at the main entrance..

We look forward to welcoming back our members and guests in the not to distant future.

Keep safe.

Monday 20th April 2020

Hope everyone is well and keeping safe in these unusual and somewhat different times.

We have all seen the speculation around when the pubs and clubs may re open for business but as of yet nothing has been confirmed by the government or other authorities.

We will continue to keep our members updated through our website and Facebook platforms.

In the meantime the committee hope that everyone keep safe and we hope to see you all soon.

Monday 23rd March 2020

As with similar establishments around the country the club is currently closed due to the Government guidance around the current COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

These are difficult times for everyone and the Committee wish all our members the best of health in the forthcoming weeks and beyond.

We will provide any relevant updates via this page and our Facebook page.

We thank you for your continued support and hope to see you all soon when we can all return to a state of normality.
